kyu.house carried the kyu Collective’s COP28 programme in Dubai — a week of events run by ATÖLYE, BEworks, Gehl, IDEO, Lexington, Neol, Public Digital and SYPartners.

The brief

The kyu Collective champions collective creativity as a way to act on climate change. For COP28 in Dubai, 3–7 December 2023, eight member companies ran a shared programme of events and needed one public home for it — a site that could hold the argument, the schedule and the people, and stay accurate while the programme kept moving.

Our role was build and run: a Next.js front end on Umbraco, hosted on Azure, with a content model the collective’s own comms team could edit day to day during the summit.

What we built

One programme, many members

Events, speakers and member organisations modelled as related content, so a session could carry its hosts without duplicate entry.

Editable during the event

The comms team published schedule changes and session write-ups themselves through the week.

Built for a spike

Static-first delivery on Azure so a COP-week traffic peak did not need a war room.
